Our South Australian Farming Operations are recruiting for an experienced Agricultural Stores Manager to join their Farm Maintenance Team. Reporting to the National Maintenance Manager, this role will provide support to the farm maintenance operations through maintaining and monitoring all spare parts required for our farming equipment. This position will be located at Woolpunda, South Australia and will require travel to our farms in the Riverland and Mallee Regions, and possibly our farm in Hillston, NSW. Responsibilities This is a new role and will require setting up the warehouse from scratch. You will work alongside our Farm Maintenance Team to enable you to develop strategies and methods of providing optimal service to them. The successful applicant will be given the flexibility to put their professional and creative ideas into our new warehouse. - Running the day-to-day operations of the warehouse
- Keeping the warehouse stocked and tidy at all times
- Manage & interpret workshop requirements
- Forecasting and ordering parts to maintain optimal inventory levels
- Monitoring the current parts inventory and conducting regular cycle counting of inventory
- Receiving parts, including placing them into inventory and properly labelling them
- Maintaining accurate inventory records
- Maintaining parts stock levels in line with forecast requirements
- Helping source and purchase the correct parts.
- Maintain a good relationship with suppliers and vendors.
- Pre picking parts for jobs as they arrive and identifying any shortages of required parts
- Preparing parts Purchase Order Request for required parts
- Collaborating with the farm maintenance managers to ensure all parts are available for jobs
About you Ideally, we are looking for someone with relevant agricultural industry knowledge, and warehouse management experience. You will have the ability to network and identify opportunities for business development, this will be key to your success. You will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to foster solid long-term relationships with vendors and key internal stakeholders. The successful applicant would have attention to detail with a can-do attitude and will need to demonstrate experience and competence in: - Mex experience
- Have a hands-on approach and possess a strong work ethic
- Experience with agricultural machinery and equipment
- You will have sound communication skills and the ability to prepare reports for management teams
- You will be proficient in Microsoft applications
- Driver’s Licence
- Current forklift driver’s license desirable
