Our New South Wales Farming Operations are seeking a skilled and dedicated Farm Equipment Supervisor. This role is crucial in ensuring the seamless operation of machinery across their extensive farming operations. You will play a key role in supporting the farming team by managing machinery movements, organizing and training machine operators, and liaising with the farm workshop to ensure timely service, repairs, and preventative maintenance. Key Responsibilities: - Program Planning and Implementation: Collaborate with senior farm management to develop and implement machinery plans for the upcoming season. Manage daily farming operation plans, including staffing schedules for operators.
- Machinery Operation: Ensure all machinery is in safe working condition, and all operators are trained in safe operating procedures. Oversee safety inductions before machinery operation.
- Corrective Maintenance: Diagnose and address machinery failures and breakdowns promptly. Work closely with workshop staff to ensure timely resolution of any issues.
- Preventative Maintenance: Coordinate with workshop staff to schedule and carry out yearly preventative maintenance as per the maintenance plan.
- Reports and Record Keeping: Collect pre-operational checklists weekly and communicate any identified faults with workshop management.
- Staff Management: Lead, motivate, and train staff under your supervision to ensure the highest standards of operation and safety.
About You: The ideal candidate will be a hands-on professional with a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage time and tasks effectively. You should be adaptable, able to handle a variety of tasks, and thrive as part of a team in a dynamic work environment. A positive attitude and attention to detail are essential. The following experience will be highly regarded: - Experience with John Deere 7R & 8R tractors
- Experience with Greenstar GPS
- Experience in row cropping & broad acre farming
- Experience with staff management
Requirements: - Legal right to work in Australia
- Current Driver's Licence
- Current Forklift Driver's Licence
- Current Chemcert Licence
- Heavy Vehicle licence an advantage
